About the Company
WAIDT Services Security (WSS) is a specialist provider of Construction Security Observers (CSOs), delivering security oversight for high-security building and infrastructure projects across Australia. Our trained and security-cleared personnel support government and industry clients in ensuring compliance with Construction Security Plans (CSP) during the construction of sensitive facilities.
We are currently seeking Construction Security Observers to join our team in Canberra. These roles are long term and available now.

About the Role
As a CSO, you will perform security assurance activities on Canberra construction sites, working closely with onsite security personnel, the construction workforce, and project leadership. This is not a security guard role – it is a specialist position focused on security observation, compliance, and risk mitigation within high-security construction environments.

About You
The role is suitable for individuals who:
* Are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods across construction sites.
* Are comfortable working predominantly outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Can work a roster based on construction site hours, Monday to Saturday, for up to 10 hours per day.
* The ability to follow instructions and work independently.
* A proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
* Previous experience not essential
* Good communication skills.
* High standard of personal presentation.
* Adhering to all relevant security protocols and procedures.

Requirements
* Full and formal Australian citizenship
* Currently hold, or be eligible to obtain and retain, an NV2 Security Clearance
* Completion of industry courses including:
o CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
o 11084NAT Asbestos Awareness
o 10830NAT Preventing Crystalline Silica Exposure
