* As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver exceptional service to our generous donors while ensuring Australia's supply of blood products.
You'll bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to:
* Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
* Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
* Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
* Set up machines and collections equipment
* Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma
* Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
* Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs
* Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
* Utilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration
* Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
* Have your own vehicle and driver's licence
* Available for overnight stays as part of duties with the Donor Mobile Unit
* Available to work 60 hours per fortnight across 9 shifts
