Position: Assistant Merchandise Planner | KEW | Fixed Term Contract
We are seeking an Assistant Merchandise Planner to join our Apparel Group within the Retail team. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
The Assistant Merchandise Planner will be responsible for maximizing sales, profit, and inventory targets through effective planning, analysis, and management of financials, Open to Buy, and stock allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Planner in analyzing department, class, sub-class, and product performance to identify trends and take proactive action.
* Support in Basics forecasting, aligning forecasts with sales targets and marketing calendars.
* Manage stock levels to minimize excess inventory and optimize store and online performance through accurate stock management and deliveries.
* Monitor size performance and collaborate with the Allocator to ensure stock levels maximize product sales.
* Assist with post-season reviews and performance analysis.
* Support the Planner in preparing reports to track performance against KPIs and business rules.
Required Experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, or retail.
* Understanding of financial parameters and targets relevant to the department.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
