The Role
This role is well‐suited to an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in mining infrastructure and process systems, looking to play a key role in technical delivery, design leadership, and mentoring within a multidisciplinary consulting environment. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of mining and resources projects across NSW and Australia, supporting studies, design, and delivery phases.
* Deliver mechanical engineering design across mining and resources projects
* Provide technical input across studies, concept development, and detailed design
* Prepare and review calculations, specifications, data sheets, and technical reports
* Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and project management teams to deliver integrated outcomes
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
* Participate in design reviews, technical risk assessments, and client meetings
* Support project delivery through scope definition, program input, and quality assurance
* Design and review mechanical systems related to:
Pumps and pipework systems
Tailings and slurry transport
Bulk materials handling
Wet process plants
Mine site infrastructure
About You
* Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer
* Demonstrated experience in mining or heavy industrial environment desirable
* Strong experience in one or more of the following areas; pumps and pipes, slurry systems, materials handling, mine site infrastructure and wet process plants
* Experience working within an engineering consultancy or project delivery environment preferred
* Solid understanding of Australian Standards and industry best practice
* Ability to mentor and technically lead others
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
