Pharmacy Assistant / Pharmacy Technician

About the Role
Join our dedicated team at Pharmacy for Life Wurtulla and play an essential role in delivering safe, accurate, and timely medication services to our community. This hands-on position—available full-time or part-time—is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, has excellent attention to detail, and genuinely enjoys helping others.
You'll work closely with our pharmacists and technicians, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure every medication order meets our high standards of care.
Key ResponsibilitiesMedication Order Management
* Accurately process and dispense daily medication prescriptions
* Work with pharmacists to manage changes, urgent requests, and interim rolls for community patients
* Ensure compliance with PBS requirements, S8 regulations, and documentation standards
* Maintain accuracy and efficiency in Z Dispense and other pharmacy software
Stock & Workflow Coordination
* Review and rotate medication stock, including expiry checks
* Prepare documentation, packaging, and deliveries for community packing patients
Teamwork & Quality Focus
* Collaborate with our experienced pharmacists and technicians
* Uphold accuracy, accountability, and patient safety at all times
* Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the dispensary
Qualifications & Skills
* Certificate III in Community Pharmacy or equivalent (preferred)
* Previous pharmacy experience (advantageous)
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Confidence using pharmacy technology (Z Dispense experience ideal but not essential)
