The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a highly organised and proactive professional to join its International Student Services team as a Project and Administration Officer. In this dynamic role, you will provide essential administrative and project support, ensuring high standards of service for international students, education agents, strategic partners and internal stakeholders.
About the role
Reporting to the Director, International Student Services, the Project and Administration Officer is responsible for coordinating a wide range of administrative tasks, supporting strategic projects and initiatives, and contributing to quality assurance processes.
As the Project and Administration Officer, you will:
* Provide responsive administrative support for operations and projects across the International Student Services Unit.
* Coordinate processes and documentation for agent contracts and quality assurance activities.
* Support the planning and delivery of international visits, study tours and events, including logistics, itineraries and stakeholder liaison.
* Maintain accurate records of project progress, administrative activities and student services data.
* Assist with data analysis and reporting on student metrics, agent performance and recruitment activity.
* Monitor and maintain internal databases, ensuring compliance with data privacy and records management requirements.
* Respond to general enquiries and triage complex or urgent matters within agreed service standards.
* Prepare reports, briefs, and communication materials on behalf of the Director, and support broader communications to students, agents and partners.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes in line with compliance and service excellence goals.
About you
You are a proactive and adaptable administrative professional with well-developed organisational and communication skills. Backed by experience in project or operational support within tertiary education or the public sector, you will have strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* Experience working in an international student admissions or student services role is highly desirable.
* Experience in using student management systems (e.g., PRISMS, Banner) for admissions processing and data management is highly desirable.
* Qualifications in business administration, international education or a related field will be highly regarded.
* Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
