We're working with a small DTC eCommerce business that, for over a decade, has been driven by a clear purpose and a distinctive brand message that genuinely inspires. The business designs and sells consumer products that are good for you and better for the planet, operating across Australia and international markets.
As the business continues to grow, they're looking for an early-career Operations Manager who's ready to step up and take ownership of day-to-day supply chain, inventory and eCommerce operations while learning directly from experienced founders and operators.
This is a fully remote role, offering real exposure, responsibility, and the opportunity to truly learn and grow with the business.
The Role
This role is for someone who already has hands-on experience with inventory/order management platforms, and eCommerce operations and is now looking to take the next step in their career.
You'll be responsible for keeping the operational engine running day to day - managing fulfilment partners, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring systems like Shopify and 3PL platforms are working together smoothly.
You won't be expected to have everything figured out on day one, but you will be expected to take ownership, ask questions, and bring passion and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Fulfilment:
* Manage relationships with local and international 3PL partners
* Act as the primary point of contact between 3PLs and our customer service team
* Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with freight forwarders and customs brokers
* Monitor fulfilment performance, discrepancies, and SLAs
Inventory & Purchase Orders:
* Create and manage inventory purchase orders
* Track inventory levels across warehouses and Shopify
* Flag risks, stock gaps, or over-ordering early
* Support demand planning and re-order cycles
Shopify Operations
* Manage new product and stock uploads in Shopify
* Ensure SKUs, barcodes, bundles, and inventory sync correctly with 3PLs
* Troubleshoot inventory and fulfilment issues across systems
What Success Looks Like
* Growing confidence and ownership over day-to-day operations
* Accurate inventory across Shopify and fulfilment partners
* Fewer fulfilment issues over time
* Willingness to be hands-on and step in when issues arise
About You
You're early in your operations career and ready to step into a role with real ownership and accountability. You've already worked hands-on with eCommerce operations, inventory, and fulfilment, and you're now looking for an opportunity where you can deepen your skills, learn from experienced operators, and have a visible impact on the business.
Required
* You must have hands-on experience with Shopify backend, 3PLs & freight providers, inventory management
* 2–5 years experience in Ecommerce operations, supply chain or similar.
* Experience working with DTC brands (consumer goods preferred)
* You understanding the importance of customer experience at every touch point of a brand
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Commercial mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost control
* Comfortable working fully remote and managing multiple external partners independently
* Based in Australia and able to work part-time or full-time
Nice to Have
* Exposure to Cin7 or similar inventory systems
* Fashion, or consumer goods experience
*Open to part-time employment
