Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including Emergency, General Medicine and Surgery, Basic Orthopaedic, Clinical Investigation, Obstetrics, Maternity, Gynaecology, High Dependency and Coronary Care, Palliative Care, Medical Imaging, Pathology and Paediatrics.
Additional services include Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, oral health, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech pathology and outreach/community-based facilities, as well as a Primary Health Care Centre located at Boyne Valley.
About the role:
The Gladstone Hospital General Maintenance positions assist in maintaining the buildings, plant, equipment and essential services in Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service - Gladstone Hub in a safe, reliable, and efficient state.
Maintain cleanliness of areas such as the workshop, plant and equipment, plant and equipment storage areas, car parks and surrounds.
Engage in auditing processes, write reports, use basic computer programs (e.g. email, word, excel, myHR online Human Resources platform).
Operate, basic repair and maintenance of equipment which is not subject to licensing required of trade categories (e.g. hand tools and minor power tools).
About you:
Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of general maintenance and minor repair tasks relevant to the maintenance of a complex facility both safely and effectively.
High level of fitness, health and wellbeing to enable safe bending, lifting, other movements and postures associated with labour intensive tasks and moving equipment.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision, as well as the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to write reports, use basic computer programs – email, word, excel, myHR.
Understanding of quality improvement processes and human resource management issues including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $83,100 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $ $36.73 p.h.
