Teacher Librarian - Part Time (0.8 FTE)

The successful applicant will contribute to building a learning environment underpinned by evidence‐based explicit teaching, data‐informed practice and a strong focus on student wellbeing. The Teacher Librarian will lead and manage the school library as a stimulating learning hub, utilising both physical and digital resources and supporting the full P‐6 curriculum.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the school library as a stimulating learning hub.
* Utilise both physical and digital resources to support the full P-6 curriculum.
* Collaborate with teachers to create innovative teaching and learning experiences.
* Promote critical and creative thinking, digital literacy and a love of literature.
* Manage student behaviour, engagement and wellbeing in the library by establishing clear high expectations.
* Manage library systems, digital technology and implement whole‐school events and programmes aligned with the teacher librarian role.
Qualifications and Criteria
* Approval to teach K-6 and hold or currently complete a Teacher Librarian qualification approved by the NSW Department of Education.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers to create innovative teaching and learning experiences.
* Demonstrated ability to manage student behaviour, engagement and wellbeing with high expectations.
* Proficiency in managing school library systems and digital technology.
* Full approval to teach is required. If not held, the applicant must commence the application process concurrently.
* Engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications within 24 months.
Remuneration
Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00, with base salary ranging from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.

Position is 0.800 FTE (4 days per week).
