Our client, an award-winning fiduciary company is looking to recruit, a Senior Fund Accountant to be based in their Mauritius office on a full-time permanent basis.
The role of the Senior Fund Accountant is to provide support and assistance to the Directors, Managers and Administrators in connection with the professional fund and corporate administration services, primarily within the funds business line.
Main responsibilities:
Prepare annual financial statements, management accounts and other ad-hoc financial reporting
Post through eFront/Navision and Excel final bookkeeping entries required to produce financial reporting and perform year end ledger close-down procedures.
Assist with the bookkeeping of more complex client structures as required.
Liaise with the appointed auditors to complete the audit of financial statements in accordance with defined timetables.
Provide additional bookkeeping and administrative assistance to other members of the Client Reporting Team as may from time to time be requested.
Qualifications:
The post holder will hold or be working towards an appropriate accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA/ACA).
Financial Services Industry and or Accounting/Auditing experience within or with exposure to the funds environment is considered essential.
Knowledge/skills/experience:
Qualified or part qualified accountant with significant experience of preparing funds accounts
Comprehensive knowledge of current IFRS and UK/US GAAP reporting and experience in accounting for a range of funds structures
Experience with eFront, Navision and Value Financials would be desirable.
