We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Administrator to support our civil construction and streetscape projects across NSW. The role involves providing administrative and project coordination assistance, ensuring compliance with council and regulatory requirements, and supporting the delivery of paving and landscaping projects.
This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone looking to build a career in construction administration, with exposure to permits, safety, documentation, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
* Permit & Approval Applications
* Draft and submit Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) / Traffic Management Plans (TMP).
* Apply for Road Occupancy Licences (ROL) and council permits.
* Prepare and lodge Dial Before You Dig (DBYD / Before You Dig Australia) requests.
* Project Documentation & Compliance
* Manage drawings, plans, and electronic folders in line with project requirements.
* Draft Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
* Attend and document outcomes from safety start-up meetings.
* Assist in preparing council tender submissions, company information documents, and presentations.
* Procurement & Coordination
* Organise and track project samples for client/council approvals.
* Prepare and process purchase orders.
* Liaise with surveyors, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to support project delivery.
* Administration & Support
* Maintain accurate records, registers, and filing systems.
* Provide administrative support to project and site teams for all civil, streetscape, and paving-related tasks.
* Assist with ad hoc duties as required to ensure smooth project operations.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to draft clear, professional documents and forms.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – knowledge of SharePoint or project software is an advantage.
* Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Willingness to learn and develop within the civil construction industry.
Preferred Background
* Previous administration experience (construction/civil industry is essential).
* Understanding of WHS compliance and council processes will be highly regarded.
* Knowledge of NSW local government permit requirements is desirable.

Pay: $49,900.00 – $75,000.00 per year
