Responsibilities - Safely operate Heavy Rigid (HR) licensed vehicles for the delivery of packaged gas products. - Conduct thorough pre-delivery vehicle inspections ensuring safety compliance. - Efficiently plan delivery routes to optimize time and resource management. - Maintain an accurate log of deliveries and guarantee timely execution as per scheduled drops. - Interact positively and professionally with customers to uphold company standards and address any queries. - Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times. - Assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring correct and secure handling. - Collaborate with team members and managers to improve service conditions and delivery efficiency. Qualifications - Must possess a valid HR (Heavy Rigid) License. - A clear Driver History Report is required. - Demonstrated physical fitness with the ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks safely. - Previous experience in deliveries or similar roles is preferred. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. - Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. - Commitment to upholding principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Day-to-Day - Start your day early, with shifts beginning at 5 am and potentially lasting up to 12 hours. - Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure the vehicle is in a safe operating condition before leaving for deliveries. - Follow a mapped-out plan for the day's deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs. - Engage with customers at delivery points, providing professional and courteous service. - Handle packages of varying sizes and weights, practicing safe manual handling techniques. - Return to the depot, perform debriefs, and complete any required end-of-day paperwork and vehicle checks.
