About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Strategic Partnerships Manager. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key partners, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Beyond Building long-term strategic partnerships with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), leveraging their global presence and expertise in cloud, data analytics, AI, and IoT
* Pipeline development and transaction of new and existing opportunities through HPE
* Cultivating awareness and knowledge of Canonical Ubuntu among HPE teams and customers
* Providing expertise on Linux and cloud software ecosystem
* Maintaining high standards of performance, meeting targets, and contributing valuable insights as a voice of the partner
* Regular travel is required, both domestically and internationally, to foster partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
* Fostering alignment and support between internal Canonical field teams - identify, support, grow, transact, across various regions and customer segments
* Continuously exploring opportunities to expand HPE's customer base and upsell into broader portfolios
* Supporting and contributing to broader strategies, initiatives, and campaigns as defined by the HPE Global Alliance Director
Requirements:
* Experience in managing alliances or indirect sales management roles
* Sales acumen, ability to build and manage a pipeline of business
* Autonomous, disciplined, hands-on approach with a 'get-it-done' mentality
* Ability to capture customer requirements, evaluate gaps, identify and create opportunities
* Dedicated passion for Ubuntu products and mission
* Comfortable working in fast-paced and high-pressure environments with measurable goals
* Hands-on experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, and other cloud technologies
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Strong team player with superior accountability and customer support skills
* Credibility and working knowledge of HPE - its products, go-to-market motion, and field operations
* Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and operational excellence
* Will to travel up to 4 times annually for internal events
