About the Role
NEP Australia is currently looking for a Business Analyst – Strategy & Analytics. This hybrid role will be based in Eveleigh, NSW and will run primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional cross‐time‐zone meetings.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across operations, finance and technology units to drive strategic and operational initiatives, develop data‐driven insights and prepare high‐quality executive presentations to support decision‐making.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
Strategic & Operational Projects
* Support delivery of strategic initiatives across NEP's broadcast, production and technology operations
* Analyse business performance, identify improvement opportunities and support implementation of solutions
* Break down complex problems into structured analyses and actionable recommendations
Data Analytics & Reporting
* Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, risks and performance drivers
* Develop dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI) to support visibility across projects and business units
* Work with technical and operational teams to improve data quality and reporting processes
Financial & Commercial Analysis
* Build business cases, cost models and ROI analyses for new initiatives and investments
* Support budgeting, forecasting and margin analysis across projects and services
* Partner with Finance to ensure alignment on financial performance and assumptions
Stakeholder Communication & Presentations
* Prepare clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations for senior leadership
* Support preparation of project updates, executive briefings and strategy materials
* Translate complex data into practical insights for non‐technical stakeholders
Project Tracking & Governance
* Monitor project progress, risks and key milestones
* Prepare regular status updates and ensure alignment across stakeholders
* Support coordination across cross‐functional teams (operations, engineering, production, finance)
Required Skills & Attributes
* 3–5 years' experience at a multinational accounting firm, management consulting (preferred) or in business analysis, strategy or transformation roles
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving capability with attention to detail
* Experience working with data to generate insights and support decision‐making
* Experience with automation and AI to improve process and find efficiencies
Advanced Skills In
* Excel, including financial modelling
* PowerPoint (executive‐level presentations)
* Data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
* Solid understanding of financial concepts (cost drivers, margins, ROI)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, project‐based environment
