About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Employee Engagement Officer (AO5) to drive positive change, foster strong relationships, and create an inclusive workplace culture. This role will play a key part in reshaping the employee experience, strengthening connections, and promoting a workplace environment that thrives on innovation, respect, and collaboration.
In this dynamic role, you will plan and execute impactful internal communications activities, aligning them with strategic priorities and goals. You will manage events, develop compelling content, and lead communication efforts that inspire and engage employees, stakeholders, and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Internal Communications Leadership: Develop and implement internal communications strategies and campaigns to align with organizational priorities, ensuring they resonate with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
2. Event Coordination: Lead the planning and coordination of engaging in-person and virtual events, including speechwriting, logistics, and technical elements.
3. Content Creation & Editing: Research, write, and edit various communication materials, such as speeches, newsletters, publications, infographics, videos, and web content.
4. Culture & Community Engagement: Promote a positive workplace culture that supports the interests of First Nations people, ensuring that the work contributes to better outcomes and meaningful engagement with diverse communities.
5. Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, collaborating closely to achieve communications and engagement goals.
6. Brand & Reputation Management: Manage the organization's reputation through careful and strategic communication planning, ensuring consistency, engagement, and alignment with core values.
7. Continuous Innovation: Stay ahead of communication trends, embracing new tools and technologies to innovate and improve communication strategies and practices.
