We're seeking a Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our team. This dual role offers balance between chair-side assistance and front desk management.
Key Responsibilities
* Treatment Room Preparation
* Prepare treatment rooms daily and clean up at closing.
* Sterilisation and Infection Control
* Ensure sterilisation of dental instruments following infection control protocols.
* Chair-Side Assistance
* Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, orthodontics and dental implants.
* Patient Care and Comfort
* Take and develop digital X-rays as needed.
* Ensure patient comfort before, during and after procedures.
* Record Keeping and Management
* Maintain accurate patient records, updating dental charts and medical histories.
* Supply Management and Inventory
* Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
* Front Desk Operations
* Greet patients warmly, manage check-ins, and process patient registration forms.
* Scheduling and Communication
* Schedule and confirm patient appointments using practice management software.
* Phone and Patient Enquiries
* Answer phone calls and address patient enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
* Billing and Payment Processing
* Manage patient billing, health fund claims and payment processing.
* Confidentiality and File Management
* Maintain patient confidentiality and manage patient files with accuracy.
* Clinic Maintenance and Organisation
* Ensure the reception area and clinic are clean, organised and welcoming.
Requirements
* A minimum of prior experience as a Dental Assistant or Receptionist is preferred.
* A Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly advantageous but not essential.
