About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to lead and oversee our end-to-end supply chain operations. This senior role is responsible for developing and executing purchasing, inventory, and distribution strategies that support business objectives, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across logistics and procurement functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies aligned with business goals.
* Lead inventory planning, forecasting, and stock control to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise holding costs.
* Oversee supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable supply.
* Manage warehouse and inventory systems, including WMS, RFID, and data-driven forecasting tools, to ensure accurate stock control and real-time tracking.
* Oversee logistics tracking, automation, and replenishment processes to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams including production, operations, and finance to align supply chain activities with operational requirements.
* Maintain accurate, auditable records of purchasing, storage, and distribution activities in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure procurement and logistics activities comply with legal, environmental, and sustainability standards.
* Lead, mentor, and develop logistics and purchasing teams, setting clear KPIs and performance expectations.
* Identify supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to ensure continuity of operations.
* Ensure delivery performance meets or exceeds customer expectations in terms of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years' work experience in logistics, purchasing, or supply chain management.
* Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Proven experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
* Sound knowledge of inventory management systems, logistics technology, and process automation.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Strong understanding of compliance, audit requirements, and risk management within supply chain operations.
