About the role
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive COACH Coordinator, at our Balga location. Reporting to the Territorial Co-ordinator: COACH Program, this is a max-term position, offering 22.8 hours per week, until the 31st December, 2025.
This is an award free position, salary and conditions are in accordance with the HAY, level 14.
You will successfully- Policies and Procedures and ensure the implementation and ongoing facilitation of the program is managed accordingly- Complete the Advanced Coordination Skills module- Ensure all mentors undergo all relevant welfare, referee and recruitment checks, initial training and are screened and assessed as suitable in accordance with The Salvation Army Community Mentoring Policies and Procedures- Host COACH Mentor Training Days- Liaise with referring agencies and organisations, receive referrals and conduct assessments for suitability of referrals. Make participant referrals where necessary.- Conduct assessments of possible participants- Ensure the security of all documentation and correspondence regarding mentors and participants
You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)- A minimum Diploma level qualification and experience in health, welfare or teaching is preferred- Experience managing a team of workers- Understanding of risk management and duty of care, including in relation to Child Protection matters- A Working with Children Check- A national police record check- A driver's licence- Successful completion of the COACH mentor training and orientation- Faith in Christ and spiritual maturity- Capacity to be flexible with working hours- Capacity to provide support, training and leadership to a volunteer team
