Key Responsibilities
* As a member of the APAC regional actuarial team, coordinate US GAAP quarterly management reporting requirements with the regional tower leads.
* Assist in supporting strategic portfolio reviews and deep dive analyses of key business segments within APAC.
* Preparation of local regulatory reporting for AIG's Australia and New Zealand offices, including quarterly Board and Risk committee reporting, quarterly solvency calculations and IFRS 17 disclosures, annual Insurance Liability Valuation Report and Financial Condition / Stress Testing Report.
* Review of capital projections and investment strategies including ALM (Asset Liability Matching).
* Provide support to the budget loss ratio exercise and annual financial planning.
* Assist in other ad‐hoc analyses as required.
What You'll Need To Succeed
* Extensive general insurance reserving experience, preferably in long‐tail lines.
* Proficiency in actuarial concepts/methodologies and ability to educate non‐technical managers on technical areas that enhance their decision‐making ability.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Effective project & time management and strong communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as take responsibility for individual contributions.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize own work.
* Ability to forge relationships with other areas of the business.
* Working knowledge of typical actuarial reserving software.
* Professional behaviour with a high level of integrity.
