Your new companyWe're partnering with a well‐established mining operation in Queensland that is seeking an IT Field Technician to provide on‐site and remote support across a fast‐paced, multi‐site environment. This is a hands-on IT role where you'll be the face of IT on site, supporting end users, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring systems run smoothly and securely.
Your new roleAs the IT Technician, you'll deliver day‐to‐day technical support across desktop, server, network and mobile environments. You'll manage incidents, requests and changes, administer O365 accounts, support collaboration tools, and complete periodic site visits and reporting. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with operational teams.
What you'll need to succeedProvide on-site and remote Level 2/3 support across desktops, servers, networks and mobile devicesManage incidents, service requests, changes and problem investigationsSupport Microsoft applications, Windows OS, client/server apps and site‐specific operational softwareAdminister and maintain the Windows Server environmentSupport iOS & Android devices and in‐house mobile applicationsMaintain MS Teams video conferencing and Mitel telephonyUse SCCM/System Centre and scripting tools to manage internal systemsComplete preliminary cybersecurity assessments and maintain malware protectionAdminister Office 365 user accountsMaintain IT asset registers, documentation and periodic site visit reportsContribute to IT policies, process improvements and the internal WikiParticipate in the on‐call roster for after‐hours support
