Program Officer Role

A prestigious opportunity to join a dynamic team in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory has arisen for Program Officers at the APS5 level. This exciting role will see you play a vital part in facilitating the legal conveyance process of transferring water entitlements from willing sellers to a central authority, ensuring the environmental health of a significant water basin is maintained.

This full-time position offers an initial 12-month labour hire contract, with prospects of extension up to an additional 12 months. Hybrid working arrangements will be supported once you become proficient in the role.

Please note: only Australian citizens with an existing Baseline (or above) security clearance can be considered for these roles.


Duties:

* Conveyance Documentation Preparation: Accurately prepare conveyance documentation following a well-defined process.
* Data Processing Services: Provide high-quality and timely data processing services to inform relevant programs and policies.
* Standard Briefings: Prepare standard briefings for decision-makers.
* Liaison and Consultation: Liaise, consult, and negotiate effectively with internal stakeholders and legal service providers.
* Contract Details Entry: Ensure all contract details and briefings are correctly entered into the system.
* Information Management: Assist in managing a group inbox and maintaining information management processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this challenging role, you will need to possess:

* Demonstrated experience in program/project management and/or administration required (preferably within a government setting).
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, showing initiative and organisation skills.
* Strong writing skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to contribute to a positive team culture.
