About the role
We are looking for a talented QC Officer - Microbiologist to join our team at Brauer Natural Medicine in Tanunda, South Australia. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the highest quality standards for our range of health products.

What you'll be doing
1. Conducting microbiological testing on raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and stability samples to ensure they meet all quality and safety standards.
2. Conduct preservative efficacy and media sensitivity testing; maintain type culture collection.
3. Support new product introductions and stability programs, including protocol writing and sample testing.
4. Conduct environmental monitoring per SOPs, record and report results, coordinate corrective actions, and complete trending reports.
5. Assess, validate, and support method development, cleaning validations, and equipment qualification.
6. Sampling and release of packaging materials and printed packaging materials according to specifications.
7. Investigating any quality issues OOS, OOT and implementing corrective actions
8. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to quality control processes
9. Providing technical support and advice to the production and quality assurance teams
10. Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices in quality control
11. Maintain documentation, consumables, autoclaves, calibration, and lab records.
What we're looking for
1. Relevant tertiary qualification in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline
2. At least 2-3 years of experience working in a quality control microbiologist role, preferably within the food, beverage, or supplements industry
3. Excellent technical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
4. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
6. Thorough understanding of relevant industry regulations and quality standards
7. Experience with use of laboratory equipment and data analysis software
