Electrical Maintenance Specialist
Thiess is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our project at the Sonoma Mine. In this role, you will be responsible for performing servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs on mobile mining equipment.
* Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, OEMs and computer-based systems.
* Work safely and comply with the site safety health and management system.
* Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs and periodical statutory electrical testing/inspections.
* Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate and post-trade experience working in the Mining industry with diesel electric haul trucks, preferably Hitachi AC, Liebherr, Komatsu or Cat.
Sound knowledge of AS/NZS standards and experience conducting statutory testing on electrical infrastructure are also required.
A Statement of Attainment for HV Switching and registration as a cabler would be highly regarded.
