POSITION SUMMARY
Full Time Term Time Position plus 2 Days each School Holiday Period
The School Administration / Reception Officer is the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional, and well-organised front office environment. This position is responsible for providing high‐quality administrative and reception support to ensure the smooth day‐to‐day operation of the school.
The role involves managing incoming communications, maintaining accurate records, coordinating appointments and general enquiries, and supporting staff with a range of administrative tasks. The Administration / Reception Officer works collaboratively with teaching and leadership teams to uphold school policies, confidentiality requirements, and compliance standards.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional service to the school community while contributing positively to the overall culture and efficiency of the organisation.

Main Objectives
* Reception: first point of contact for families and visitors; manage enquiries and referrals
* Manage phones, emails, messages and daily front office coordination
* General admin support: filing, records, data entry, mail, forms and follow‐up
* Strong customer focus and professional communication
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced school environment
* Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling records and sensitive information
* Support the admin team with other duties as required (role flexibility)
* Strong Microsoft Office skills; administration/business qualification well regarded
* Proactive, calm, and solutions‐focused to reduce pressure at reception (team support focus)
* Support and uphold the school's Christian ethos and culture
ADDITIONAL NOTES
* This is a full time term time role and some school holiday hours are required.
* Must comply with the School's Child Protection Policy and reporting requirements.
* Additional Duties: The staff member may be required to undertake responsibilities and attend to tasks outside the usual scope of their role, as directed by the Principal or Business Manager, to support the needs of the school.
