Manager - Adult Supported Accommodation Facilities

An opportunity exists for an experienced, outcomes-focused leader to take responsibility for the statewide management of adult-supported accommodation facilities across Tasmania. This senior leadership role oversees multiple accommodation sites delivering supported accommodation, medium-density and social housing services to adults. The position plays a critical role in driving consistency, performance, and sustainability across services while shifting operations from historically reactive delivery to a structured, accountable and outcomes-driven model. The role is hands-on and operational, requiring a leader who can turn strategy into action, build strong relationships on the ground, and deliver measurable improvements in service quality and performance.
Your new role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the operational, financial and people management of adult-supported accommodation services statewide.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing statewide leadership across multiple accommodation sites to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
* Leading and implementing a multi‐year work plan focused on continuous improvement and operational maturity
* Driving performance against key indicators, including occupancy, tenancy sustainability and client experience
* Strengthening and standardising systems, processes, agreements and intake frameworks across all sites
* Ensuring tenancy management functions comply with relevant legislation and funding requirements
* Managing budgets, resources and workforce planning to support financial sustainability
* Supporting and leading coordinators and frontline leaders through change, performance management and capability uplift
* Promoting a positive, accountable culture aligned with trauma‐informed and person‐centred practice
* Engaging with internal stakeholders and external partners across the housing and community services system** Regular statewide travel is a requirement of this role, and a fully maintained vehicle is provided.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a pragmatic, delivery‐focused leader with a strong background in community services, housing or supported accommodation environments.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience leading multi‐site services in human services, housing or community-based programs
* Strong operational and commercial acumen, including budget oversight and performance management
* Proven ability to lead teams through change and embed consistent systems and ways of working
* Confidence engaging with staff, clients and stakeholders at all levels
* A practical leadership style grounded in accountability, approachability and follow‐through
* Sound knowledge of tenancy management, compliance and working with vulnerable people
* A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive senior leadership experience** Mandatory requirements include holding (or the ability to obtain) relevant police checks, Working with Vulnerable People clearance (including NDIS Worker Screening), and a current driving licence.
