Job Description

The Client Services Officer plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and support to clients. This position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to complete investigations through our Quality Management System, coordinating the receipt and dispatch of client samples to our laboratories, and communicating with clients regarding sample submissions and related queries.

This role requires a strong passion for learning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide prompt and professional customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
* Liaise with the bottle dispatch team to complete tasking of client container order requests
* Prepare quotations through our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and assist with tender preparation
* Coordinate receipt and dispatch of client samples to ALS Environmental laboratories, including liaison with laboratory staff when urgent samples are received
* Work with internal stakeholders to complete investigations through the ALS Quality Management System
* Occasionally assist with sorting, packing, labeling, and distributing samples by courier or for pick up
* Liaise with clients (internal and external) regarding sample submissions and related queries


Requirements:

* Positive customer focus and quality service attitude with a professional demeanor
* Strong passion and interest in learning
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work without compromise
* Excellent computer skills, including MS Office suite
* Able to multitask and process multiple concurrent requests efficiently and accurately
* Ability to work autonomously, while leveraging and investing in team connection and priorities
* Understanding or interest in learning and delivering laboratory safety protocols in the handling of chemical hazards
* Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
* Solutions-driven and hard-working
* Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information
* High level of flexibility regarding hours/availability
