This part-time role offers the opportunity to work across all aspects of HR, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and workplace health & safety. You'll be a trusted partner to managers and employees alike, ensuring smooth processes, compliance, and a workplace where everyone can thrive.
HoursPart-time position: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment, Contracts & Onboarding
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes including advertising, screening, and interview scheduling
Prepare and issue employment contracts, variations, and related documentation
Manage pre-employment checks (references, right to work, licences, etc.)
Coordinate and deliver structured onboarding and induction programs
Ensure all new starter documentation is completed and compliant
Monitor probation periods and confirm outcomes with managers
Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems
Employee Relations
Provide first-level HR advice and support to managers and employees
Assist with performance review processes and development planning
Support the resolution of workplace concerns in line with company policy
Promote positive workplace culture and engagement initiatives
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)
Support implementation and maintenance of WHS policies and procedures
Coordinate staff WHS inductions and mandatory safety training
Maintain incident, hazard, and risk registers
Assist with workplace investigations and incident reporting
Monitor compliance with safety legislation and company standards
Coordinate first aid, fire warden, and emergency preparedness records
Support return-to-work and workers compensation processes
HR Administration
Maintain confidential and accurate employee files
Liaise with payroll regarding employment changes
Track leave, employment variations, and compliance requirements
Prepare HR metrics and reports as required
Support audits and compliance checks
Compliance & Policy Support
Ensure compliance with Fair Work, WHS, and relevant legislation
Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures
Maintain training and compliance registers
Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Skills & Experience
Previous experience in HR administration or coordination
Experience preparing employment contracts and onboarding staff
Working knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
