Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook meals in accordance with menu specifications and recipes
· Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and to a high standard of quality
· Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the Head Chef
· Maintain a clean and organised workstation in compliance with health and safety standards
· Follow proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
· Assist with food prep, plating, and storage as needed
· Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
· Adapt to special dietary requirements and customer preferences when needed
· Help in receiving and storing food supplies appropriately
· Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a commercial kitchen
· Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredient's, equipment, and procedures
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
· Team player with good communication skills
· Culinary training or relevant certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods
· Capable of lifting up to 25-50 Lbs as needed
· Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
· Ability to work in hot, humid, or cold environments depending on kitchen setup.
