Location: Alice Springs Hospital
Our registrars provide high-quality care to inpatients (general paediatric and neonatal unit) and outpatients within Alice Springs Hospital, local MDT developmental services and remote community clinics.
The Paediatric department has 7 consultants, 7 ward registrar and 2 community/outreach registrar positions. Services include a 30-bed dedicated paediatric ward, an 8-bed neonatal unit (routinely admitting >32/40 and 1500g newborns) and access to ICU beds as required. Delivery of outpatient clinics in hospital, remote community and local MDT developmental services are core components of our service.
* Eligible for general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience
* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively as a team member in a busy and culturally diverse work environment.
* A demonstrated interest in and commitment to improving rural and Indigenous child health.
