Project Coordinator - Infrastructure Development
The role of Project Coordinator involves coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives. This requires ensuring that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
This position will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports, as well as monitoring construction progress for adherence to programme and reporting to the Senior Project Engineer or Construction Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge and understanding of Structures and Civil works, as well as experience working on major projects in Australia.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities
* Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports
* Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme
* Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects
* Contribute to improvements to existing designs
* Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders
* Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards
* Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project
* Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessment
* Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting compliance reporting
* Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors
* Utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work and resource time management
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, or equivalent
* Tier 1 engineering experience in a major project in Australia
* Experience working on $10M+ projects preferred
* Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Structures and Civil works
* Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards, and implications for project accountabilities
* Understanding of the Project Design Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan, and Environmental Management Plan
* Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning, and legislative requirements
* Strong written and verbal skills coupled with professional personal presentation
