About the role:
AtAnglicare Central Queensland, we believe children thrive in safe,familiar environments. As a not-for-profit organisation, we supportKinship carers - family and community members who step in to carefor children when they need it most.
We arecurrently seeking a Support Officerto join our Foster andKinship Care team in Rockhampton. They will promote the services ofFoster and Kinship Care in Central Queensland and build strongrelationships with carers to support their journey and improveretention.
What will a typical day looklike?
* Assist with the development,implementation, and evaluation of a Community AwarenessStrategy in relation to the recruitment of FosterCarers.
* Design and coordinate Foster andKinship carer events.
* Assist with the organisation'sparticipation in events for target groups to increase theprofile of Foster Care. This includes promotional days,education sessions, training, recruitment activities andinformation sessions.
* Work closely with the Foster,Kinship and Intensive Care team to ensure that the impactof any campaign/event is addressed at the planningstages.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Certificate III in Business Administration or related discipline, with relevantexperience.

* Ability to obtain aBlue Card (working with children check positive notice orexemption)
* Ability to obtain aYellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemptionnotice)
