The Senior Secondary Pathways Reforms are implementing generational change across the Victorian secondary school system to improve student access to and participation in vocational and applied learning in senior secondary years aligned with their strengths and aspirations, so students complete schooling with the skills and capabilities needed for success in further education, training, work and life.
This work is completed through 78 projects across 18 workstreams with nearly $1 billion investment.Within the Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce, the Strategy and Program Management team leads the strategic policy and governance activities that manage the Reform program as a whole.
This includes program management completed across teams within the Taskforce, the VCAA, Performance and Evaluation Division and central Communications.The Senior Policy and Project Advisor will lead the program management activities including regular program-wide reporting, cabinet submissions, State Budget activities and strategic policy projects that affect the Reform program as a whole.
The successful candidate will apply their skills in governance, program management, research, data analysis, policy development, preparation of briefings, and other strategic governance activities, as required.
The successful candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement skills including building and managing relationships with program delivery areas across the Taskforce and the Department; and strong written communication skills to communicate complex ideas to support senior decision-making (for the Secretary and Minister).Experience in the education and training sectors (particularly senior secondary vocational and applied learning), program management, policy development, data analysis and governance activities is highly desirable.For more details regarding this position please see the attached position description.The Department values diversity and inclusion in all forms - gender, religion, ethnicity, LGBTIQ+, disability and neurodiversity.
