Embedded Linux Field Engineer Role Overview
Job Description
As a Embedded Linux Field Engineer, you will be responsible for engaging with customers during the presales process to gather requirements and explain our technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Elaborate solutions to be proposed to prospective clients
* Participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux
* Convey market requirements to key stakeholders and contribute to the development or refinement of generic solutions
* Serve as a customer advocate and trusted advisor
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
* Extensive Linux experience with Debian or Ubuntu preferred
* Distribution/Packaging experience (deb, rpm, etc.)
* Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot, etc.)
* Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
* Professional written and spoken English
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Result-oriented with the ability to multitask
* Personal drive to meet commitments
* Curious and quick learner
* Willingsness to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings and company events
