Overview

We operate and maintain an extensive fleet of transport vehicles, material handling equipment and refrigerated trailers through our depots in Western Australia. We are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to manage the servicing, maintenance and repair of this fleet, based in Forrestfield WA.

Responsibilities

* Oversee day‐to‐day operations of the workshop, including scheduling maintenance, assigning tasks to technicians, monitoring workflow.
* Ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
* Develop and implement maintenance plans and procedures to maximise the efficiency and reliability of the fleet.
* Manage a team of automotive technicians, providing guidance, training and performance feedback.
* Liaise with the operations team to coordinate vehicle schedules and respond to urgent maintenance requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and costs.
* Monitor workshop budgets and recommend improvements to cost‐effectiveness.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

* Mechanical Trade Certification.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar leadership role within a transport workshop environment.
* Effective people management and development skills.
* High level of computer literacy using EAMS or similar maintenance management software.
* Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with a variety of people.
* Ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach to task resolution.
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.
* Ability to work well within a team environment.
* Commitment to complying with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia full time and be willing to undergo a pre‐employment medical check and provide a clean drug and alcohol screening result.
