**Climate Change Specialist Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Change Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Strategy and Policy Division, you will play a critical role in coordinating the preparation, analysis, and delivery of climate change data and reporting.
This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in environmental policy and analysis to drive positive change in our community. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to capture GHG emissions and climate change data for regulatory disclosures, analyze data, and provide reports to senior management on environmental outcomes and climate change risk management.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Drafting and reviewing financial and accounting policies to ensure compliance with Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) and NSW Treasury policies.
* Building and maintaining relationships within the EPA to capture GHG emissions and climate change data for regulatory disclosures.
* Analyzing data and providing reports to senior management on environmental outcomes and climate change risk management.
* Managing project budgets, resources, and multidisciplinary teams to meet deadlines and ensure quality delivery of environmental data.
* Leading initiatives to support the organization's Net Zero by 2030 goal, fostering productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for preparing the annual Climate Change Impacts, Risks, and Adaptation Statement, and assisting in the preparation of Climate Risk Disclosure and audits. Additionally, you will draft reports, briefings, and provide advice to senior leadership on financial disclosures, climate risks, and environmental reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental policy and analysis, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A postgraduate degree in a relevant field and experience working in government or a similar sector would be highly regarded.
