Job Description
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
* Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
* Review market analyses to determine customer needs and price schedules.
* Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop sales team.
* Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
* Coordinate liaison between sales department and other related units.
* Analyse and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
* Assist other departments within the organisation to prepare manuals and technical publications.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'General Manager' should have:
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry.
* Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* A degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
