Role Responsibilities
The successful incumbent is responsible for the provision of triage, comprehensive assessment, acute and assertive outreach services to clients and their families to ensure that clients receive the least restrictive treatment options. This involves provision of acute care interventions and follow up of clients recently discharged from inpatient services and to clients presenting to the service who have been assessed as needing acute care services.

What You Will Bring To The Role
Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent 12 months experience working as a registered nurse) and currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of people presenting with acute mental health disordersDemonstrated excellent negotiation skills and verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act and related legislationUnderstanding of recovery oriented care with demonstrated ability to meaningfully collaborate with consumers and their family and carers regarding mental health service provisionComputer competency including demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of information technology systems used in Health settingsCurrent Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
