About The Team

Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.

The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.

About The Opportunity

We are currently seeking applications from safety focused, hardworking, rail enthusiasts to join our newly developed teams.

This role is a rare and exciting opportunity to be a part of a team working environment based out of Dubbo. This role has a strong focus on safety completing various tasks such as resleepering, turnout maintenance, track inspections and vegetation management and other various civil works. In order to complete these activities, the safe and efficient operation of specialised machinery such as Hi-Rail excavators and Front-End Loaders will be a core requirement of the role.

You may be required to work away from home on occasions.

About You

To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

Self-motivated
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to pass a Category 1 Rail Medical
Prior experience working in a physically demanding role.

Applicants must be willing to be flexible on hours of work, be able to travel away from home and work overtime as required by ARTC.

Operational experience with mobile plant in a railway environment – highly regarded.
Rail Industry Worker Competencies
General Construction Induction card (white card)
Current Driver's Licence - HR and above highly regarded.
