Opportunity
The Fitter is required to complete all facets of fitting works on time, in full and to standard, while striving for continuous improvement. The Fitter is responsible for keeping themselves and colleagues safe, and for maintaining a clean, tidy, and productive work environment.
What's Involved
Conduct fitting (or general) tasks as directed in accordance with supplied Work Pack / Job Tickets.
Inspection, testing and servicing of on-board mechanical systems.
Inspection, analysis and recording of critical measurements, data, or information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment works.
Complete works within the required time frames and, if unachievable, inform the supervisor immediately.
You'll need
Essential
Trade Qualification - Fitter & Turner, Machinist, Diesel Fitter (Heavy) or Mechanical Fitter.
Marine experience
Demonstrated experience in marine refit / repair or heavy industrial
High Risk Works - confined space / working at heights
Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner
Ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade
White Card
Desirable
HR Licenses - Forklift / Confined Space
First Aid / EWP
Heavy Industrial
Previous experience in Marine / Ship repair or Heavy Industry
