We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Perth. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in process or mechanical engineering, a proven record in managing multidisciplinary projects, and a strong passion for innovation and technical excellence. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing OLEOLOGY treatment systems, ensuring they meet client expectations and performance standards.
Key Objectives of the Role
* Lead Project delivery and execution
* Maximize project efficiency, technical accuracy, and profitability from design to delivery.
* Define and manage project scope, specifications, budgets, and schedules.
* Coordinate cross-functional engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
* Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards.
* Deliver projects on time and on budget with exceptional attention to technical detail and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
* Work with the Director of Engineering to establish project objectives, design parameters, data collection methods, and performance standards in line with OLEOLOGY's engineering policies.
* Support the design and development of OLEOLOGY treatment systems – including 2D/3D layouts, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and P&IDs.
* Oversee procurement and ensure timely acquisition of materials, components, and subcontracted services.
* Coordinate fabrication, assembly, and testing of treatment systems, ensuring all works align with engineering drawings and specifications.
* Assist in commissioning, performance testing, and operational handover to clients.
* Track project progress using company CRM and project management tools; prepare periodic progress and cost reports.
* Identify and manage project risks, schedule deviations, and budget variances, and communicate corrective actions proactively.
* Develop and maintain engineering documentation, test procedures, and quality assurance records.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, including the Technical, Commissioning, and Operations departments, to ensure system integration and performance objectives are achieved.
* Ensure projects meet OLEOLOGY's safety, environmental, and compliance standards under ISO and relevant Australian regulations.
* Participate in client meetings, project reviews, and technical discussions to resolve engineering or field issues.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the innovation of treatment processes and system designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
* Minimum 15 years' experience in project engineering, project management, or system design – ideally within water treatment, process plant, or industrial equipment sectors.
* Proven experience in field management, fabrication supervision, and commissioning of engineering systems.
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 2D/3D CAD tools.
* Excellent understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams, and mechanical layouts.
* Familiarity with ECR/ECO processes and configuration management.
* Demonstrated understanding of compliance standards, QA/QC procedures, and HSE requirements in engineering projects.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, manage contractors, and liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
* Willingness to travel interstate and internationally (within the Asia-Pacific region, including Malaysia) as required.
* Must have the ability to deliver advanced technology into very diverse market sectors: Oil & Gas, Waste & Landfill – wastewater & leachate, Industrial Water Treatment, Recycling, Agriculture, Toxic Contaminant removal including
* BTEX
* PFAS
* Mercury
* The proven ability to demonstrate to clients benefits from implementation of advanced technology, across E S G.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
* Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered status (or working towards).
* Experience in water treatment, PFAS removal, filtration, or environmental remediation systems.
* Familiarity with PLC/automation interfaces and performance monitoring systems.
* Experience with database design, data logging, or engineering documentation systems.
* Knowledge of Australian Standards (AS), ISO quality management, and environmental compliance frameworks.
