Business Development Specialist Job Description

A leading organization is seeking a dynamic professional to fill the role of Business Development Specialist.


About the Role

The Business Development Specialist will be part of a hybrid position, allowing them to work from home or in the office, providing flexibility and work-life balance.


Key Responsibilities

* Client Support:
o Meet client service metrics by providing exceptional support and ensuring timely resolutions to client queries.
o Onboard and train newly appointed agents/agencies, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless integration into our team.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents to support retention efforts, driving long-term growth and success.
o Coordinate training sessions via video conferencing tools, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
* Sales Support:
o Manage and follow up on sales leads, converting them into successful business opportunities.
o Participate in weekly sales meetings, staying informed about market trends and competitor activity.
o Work across various solutions to meet client needs, leveraging our expertise to deliver tailored results.
* Professional Development:
o Collaborate with internal teams to drive sales, identifying new revenue streams and opportunities for growth.
o Advocate for our products and services, highlighting their value and benefits to clients.
o Identify cross-selling opportunities within our program offerings, maximizing customer value and satisfaction.


Requirements

* Proven customer service experience, with a track record of providing exceptional support and resolution.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with property and casualty insurance, including policy management and underwriting.
* Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
* Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and solve problems creatively, thinking outside the box.
