The Project
Samsung C&T Corporation Australia, as part of the TasVic Greenlink joint venture with DT Infrastructure; has been awarded the contract to deliver the Balance of Works package for Marinus Link Stage 1.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor based in Leongatha or Hazelwood, VIC to join this once-in-a-generation project, leading environmental coordination and promoting best- practice systems to ensure a safe and compliant workforce.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems, policies, procedures, and initiatives across the project
* Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and ensure corrective actions are effectively closed out
* Coach and support operational teams and subcontractors in relation to SWMS, permits, high-risk work activities, and HSE compliance requirements
* Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, training, and ongoing safety communication initiatives to promote a positive safety culture
* Prepare HSE reports, monitor compliance with legislative requirements, and support injury management and return to work processes
Experience and Capabilities
* Previous experience in a Health and Safety Advisor role on a major infrastructure project
* Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, risk management, auditing, and incident investigation processes, regulations, and industry best practices
* Proven ability to build strong working relationships and positively influence safety behaviours on site
* Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Relevant WHS qualifications (Cert IV minimum), current driver's license, and ability to travel to project sites as required
