Position Overview
Delaware North Australia is hiring skilled casual Commis Chefs to join our team at Melbourne Airport.
Responsibilities
* Prepare a variety of dishes in a high-volume production setting
* Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
* Execute food preparation tasks with a focus on presentation
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
* Conduct temperature and quality checks, manage cross‐contamination to ensure WHS compliance
Qualifications
* Previous Commis Chef experience
* Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery
* Solid background in kitchen operations
* Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labour costs
Employment Conditions
Must be flexible; shifts available Monday to Sunday. Ability to work a 7‐day rotating roster.
