The Role
The role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating requests, and completing follow up contracting and administrative tasks. The position requires effective time management and adherence to established processes to ensure services are delivered consistently and within agreed timeframes.
The role suits an organised and professional administrator who can manage multiple tasks, communicate clearly and maintain discretion when handling sensitive information. Key requirements include:
* Provide assistance and perform moderately complex tasks and activities that support the delivery of procedural, operational, administrative, contract management and business support activities across Defence.
* Develop and maintain an understanding of Defence's corporate requirements including relevant legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures necessary to achieve work area outcomes.
* Work collaboratively in a team based environment actively participating in and contributing to team meetings and exchange information to support the work area and team objectives.
About our Team
The Pacific Maritime Security Program (PMSP) delivers capability throughout the Pacific to enhance maritime security. The PMSP is a comprehensive package of capability, infrastructure, sustainment, training and coordination designed to increase national and regional maritime security for 16 partner nations.
In addition, the PMSP also provides training which embraces multiple approaches and agencies working in a complimentary manner. These trainings aim to provide the skills, knowledge and attributes to the nations to safely and effectively operate, manage and maintain their sovereign asset.
