Overview

We have a new opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join us on a one-year fixed term contract within the International Wealth and Personal Banking (IWPB) Risk team. The role supports two senior leaders with all aspects of business administration, including travel, expense and diary management, and helps coordinate events and meetings for the broader Risk & Compliance Team. You will interact with key stakeholders across the HSBC group locally and regionally and may work on a variety of projects to improve the Risk & Compliance function.


Responsibilities

* Admin support and diary management for the IWPB Chief Risk Officer and the Head of Wholesale Credit Risk.
* Coordinate and plan team building and company events for the IWPB Risk and broader Risk & Compliance team.
* Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative activities such as PowerPoint presentations, and assist with recruitment and interview scheduling.
* Partner with Executive Assistants within the Risk and Compliance team on joint projects and deliverables.
* Provide leave coverage for other admin staff, supporting senior leaders of the Risk and Compliance Leadership Team.
* Email inbox management including escalation on urgent tasks and briefing on scheduled meetings; ensure support documentation is available.
* Expense management and reconciliation for IWPB Risk and Wholesale Credit Risk Teams.
* Support various reporting activities and provide cover for the Business Management Team as required.


Requirements

* A sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to tasks, gained within a professional services matrix-style organisation.
* Strong adherence to processes to ensure smooth operations.
* Logical thinking skills to untangle complex issues.
* Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
* Track record of meeting deadlines consistently.
* Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
* Natural inclination towards problem-solving.
* Capacity to work autonomously while also being a supportive team player.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to adapt to a wide range of work procedures and operational guidelines.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple simultaneous tasks.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
