Job Title: Network Infrastructure Architect
Key Highlights
The Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, integrating, and delivering robust IT and OT network infrastructure and systems for the Eva Copper Mine Project.
This is a maximum term role with a completion date of 01 April 2028, with possibility to transition to the operational stage.
Responsibilities include:
1. Engage and interface with key stakeholders on the Project
2. Develop scopes of work and tender packages for construction and operations ICT Network infrastructure.
3. Undertake tender evaluations and recommendations to award; Oversee contractual negotiations and tender award.
4. Review and approve vendor technical design submissions and project delivery plans.
5. Responsible for the detailed design of the construction and operations core network infrastructure for the corporate network, operational technology network and process control network.
6. Update and maintain the ICT project schedule
7. Adhere to the projects engineering, procurement, safety, quality and information management policies.
8. Attend vendor site for factory acceptance testing
9. Conduct regular site visits during the construction and commissioning phases of the project, witness and approve site acceptance testing, assist in commissioning activities as required.
10. Accept responsibility for correcting unsafe acts and conditions
11. Action assigned tasks with a focus on quality and timeliness
12. Provide accurate and timely project reporting to the ICT Project Manager on the status of the project milestones
13. Ensure ITIL best practices are implemented as agreed with ICT Project Manager
14. Deliver quality technical design, IOM's and maintenance documentation for operations
15. Maintain the IT Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
16. Close out all project activities following commissioning and handover
17. Ability to work unsupervised in a hazardous mining environment.
18. Identify and report hazards and incidents and take responsibility for correcting unsafe acts and conditions.
19. Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a safe working environment.
20. Understand and adhere to statutory requirements and company procedures.
