Software development
- Demonstrated understanding and /or skills in relational database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL) and web services (e.g. XML), procedural programming languages (e.g. C) and object-oriented programming languages (e.g. VB,.Net, C#, C++), testing tools/techniques and development tools (e.g. version control software) and software development methodologies and life cycles.
Data analysis and database management
- Knowledge of relational database technology (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and operating systems
Systems testing
- Knowledge of relational database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL) and web services (e.g. XML), testing tools/techniques and development tools (e.g. version control software), software development methodologies and life cycles (including quality assurance/testing) and software testing life cycles and testing tools.
Business analysis
- Possess a broad range of modelling skills including business process modelling.
ICT project support
- Practical ability with MS Office and MS Project
- Knowledge of project management (e.g. methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Project Management Body of Knowledge).
- Understanding of project reporting, scheduling and coordination and management of project risks, issues and dependencies.
ICT Generalist
- Ability to produce detailed and accurate work including high level writing skills
- Understanding of government writing styles, customer support
To be eligible for a graduate role, you should have completed or be close to completing a degree or post graduate qualification in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Telecommunications
- Project Management
- Web/multi media Design
- Or similar field of study
