About the role
As a Personal Care Worker at Calvary, you will be an essential part of our integrated team, working within an established framework to meet the personal needs of our residents. Your role plays a pivotal role in ensuring we consistently provide the highest quality care
**Your main duties will include**:
Supporting residents in living the life they choose, emphasizing choice and independence
Assisting residents with personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging their autonomy
Contributing to residents' physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation
Implementing clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, following the resident's plan of care
About you
**We're looking for individuals who**:
Hold a Certificate III in individual support or an equivalent recognized qualification
Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrate the ability to prioritize workloads
Show flexibility, empathy, and patience when working with elderly individuals
Can provide holistic care that respects residents' privacy, dignity, and self-esteem
