Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to lead our deli department. As a Deli Department Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the deli department, ensuring high standards of presentation and customer service.

About the Role:

This is a full-time opportunity that requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop a team to achieve sales targets, cost control, and rostering requirements. You will need to simplify processes and adhere to strict audit, food safety, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee the deli department on a day-to-day basis, ensuring a high standard of presentation and customer service
* Be accountable for in-store operations, including stock management, product rotation, waste control, and quality checks
* Lead, coach, and develop the team to meet sales targets, cost control, and rostering requirements
* Simplify processes and adhere to strict audit, food safety, and compliance standards
* Foster a one-team culture that prioritizes team member health, safety, and wellbeing
* Delight customers by delivering an outstanding shopping experience

Requirements:

* Previous experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment
* Direct/indirect leadership experience with the ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
* Ability to maintain excellent department standards, including stock monitoring, rotation routines, waste, and quality control
* Commitment to simplifying processes and adhering to audit, food safety, and compliance standards
* Experience in driving a one-team culture focused on health, safety, and wellbeing
* Ability to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for customers
