Are you an experienced and proactive executive assistant, administrator or customer-focused support professional looking to take the next step in your career? The City of Gold Coast is seeking enthusiastic professionals to join our Executive Support Talent Pool.
Successful applicants will be considered for upcoming Executive Assistant, Branch Administrator and Divisional Officer roles across the organisation as they become available over the next 6-12 months.
About the team
Our Business Support team delivers high-quality administrative, specialised, and technical support to enable efficient service delivery across the City administration. About the role
As a member of the Executive Support team, you’ll play a key part in supporting our Divisional Councillors, Executive General Managers or General Managers.
Your day may involve:
• Delivering exceptional administrative and executive support
• Managing calendars and scheduling meetings
• Coordinating documentation and correspondence
• Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Organising events and engagements – both internally and with community members and organisations or groups
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including community members
• Proactively identifying issues, resolving issues and improving processes
• Create engaging content for newsletters, social media, and promotional materials for local council divisions.
These roles are well suited to professionals who thrive in fast paced, service oriented environments and enjoy building strong working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders, including community groups and the residents of the Gold Coast.

We’re looking for people who have:
To be successful in these roles, you will bring:
• Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Branch Administrator, or in a similar community-focused customer support role
• Demonstrated experience in customer service or community-facing environments within a complex organisation
• Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Outstanding verbal and written communication
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently and respectfully with diverse community members and stakeholders
• Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly and professionally
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
• Strong alignment with the City’s values of diversity and inclusion and public service
• Demonstrated resilience and agility, with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands
